Paul Zane Pilzer

Co-Founder of Extend Benefits Group, LLC and The American Academy LLC

Paul Pilzer is the Chairman of Zane Benefits and Co-Founder of Extend Benefits Group LLC, leading providers of individualized health benefits solutions to U.S. employers. Mr. Pilzer, who has served as an economic advisor in two presidential administrations and as a commentator on National Public Radio and CNN, is also a software entrepreneur, an adjunct professor and the author of seven bestselling books.

Prior to co-founding Extend Benefits in 2001 with Anthony Meyer, Mr. Pilzer built successful start-up companies in the fields of software, education and financial services. Previously, Mr. Pilzer was a Vice President at Citicorp (1976-1981), where he helped lead Citicorp’s efforts to develop ATM and EFT payment technologies.

Mr. Pilzer’s books include Other People's Money (Simon & Schuster, 1989), a critically acclaimed account of the $200-billion savings and loan crisis; Unlimited Wealth (Crown Publishers, 1990); God Wants You to be Rich (Simon & Schuster, 1995/1997); The Wellness Revolution (Wiley, 2002/2007); The Next Millionaires (VideoPlus, 2005) and The New Health Insurance Solution (Wiley, 2005/2007).

Mr. Pilzer received his B.A. from Lehigh University in 1974, his M.B.A from Wharton Graduate Business School in 1976, and was an Adjunct Professor at New York University from 1979-2000.
