Jake Carter

Investment Analyst

Jake Carter is a Senior Analyst at Ocean Road Advisors, Inc. He manages public and private investments, performs due diligence across asset classes, and creates investment portfolios composed of hedge funds, private equity, stocks, fixed income, ETFs, and mutual funds. He specializes in researching global equity investments and building investment portfolios to minimize risks while maximizing returns and appropriate diversification.

Before joining Ocean Road Advisors, Mr. Carter was a financial analyst for a private banking team at Merrill Lynch that managed client investments totaling more than $10 billion and generating some $30 million in annual revenue. He specialized in global asset allocation and determining investment suitability for twenty clients. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Jake worked with Anthony E. Meyer and Brigham Tomco during the early stages of The American Academy, LLC to identify target markets and create the business model for the innovative online high school.

Mr. Carter graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Business Management. As a student, he worked as a teaching assistant for various lower-division and honors economics classes and completed internships with Morgan Stanley private banking and asset allocation groups based in San Francisco and Manhattan.
